What we collect
- Order details: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number and what you bought.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login and order history.
- Payment details: handled by PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
- Website data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, through cookies (see below).
Why we use it, and the legal basis
- To process, pack and deliver your order and handle returns (contract).
- To keep accounting and tax records for six years (legal obligation).
- To answer your questions and keep customer records (legitimate interests).
- To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time (consent).
- To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share only what’s needed with:
- Couriers: Royal Mail and APC, to deliver your order.
- Payment provider: PayPal, to take payment.
- Hosting: Krystal Hosting Ltd (UK), which hosts this website.
- Order and customer systems: our own order-packing system and HubSpot (customer records).
- Email: Purelymail, which hosts our email.
- Professional advisers and authorities: where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses to protect it.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records: six years. Customer accounts: until you ask us to delete them, or after three years with no orders. Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the basket, checkout and your account. We only use analytics or marketing cookies if you agree to them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to or limit how we use it. Email info@mytanlondon.co.uk; we’ll reply within one month. There’s normally no charge.
